By recycling organic waste from landfills and manufacturing compost, we are providing a more sustainable way to deal with waste while also being better for the environment.
CHT Resources operates a compost manufacturing facility in Austin Colorado. We recycle organic waste such as septic, biosolids, food waste, cannabis waste and yard waste into nutrient rich compost. This process reduces methane gas generated at landfills and helps build healthy soil with the compost, which benefits the climate and environment.
CHT stands for Collection, Holding and Transfer, a Navy term for the sewage on an aircraft carrier. The founder and Navy veteran, Forrest Fulker, has worked in the collection business for since 2007 and owns and operates this compost facility with co-owners Erica Sparhawk and Jake DeWolfe.
Jake runs the day-to-day operations at the Delta facility and ensures the team is managing the waste and always finding ways to increase waste diversion and improve our compost products. He has his CDL so you’ll also see him behind the wheel of our trucks hauling waste to our site. Jake has completed his Compost Operator Training with the Compost Research and Education Foundation.
Brad works closely with Jake to run operations on-site and is our primary driver - coordinating everything to do with hauling waste to our facility. He has years of experience as a driver and working in the waste industry.
Erica keeps the administration functions all running soundly. She’s the regulatory compliance officer, which is a fancy way of saying she’s getting to know the different regulatory staff and making sure all the applications are filled out correctly and the reports are filed on-time. She manages grants and the budget and finance department along with HR requirements as CHT keeps hiring staff. Erica has completed the Compost Operator Training by the Compost Research and Education Foundation.
Forrest has an 18 year entrepreneurial history in the grease collection and septic hauling industry. He is a creative problem solver and provides guidance to CHT Resources while continuing to run his own businesses.
